What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) allows domain owners to display their brand logo next to authenticated emails in supported email clients (like Gmail, Yahoo, and Apple Mail). It increases brand visibility, builds trust, and protects against phishing.
BIMI Requirements
- DMARC: You must have a strict DMARC policy (
p=quarantineorp=reject). - SVG Logo: Your logo must be an SVG file hosted securely over HTTPS. (Specifically, it should be an SVG Tiny PS profile).
- VMC (Verified Mark Certificate): While optional for the protocol, major providers like Gmail require a VMC issued by an authorized CA to actually display your logo.
