SiteTidy provides website, SEO, security, DNS, formatting and developer utilities. We aim to keep data collection to the minimum needed to operate and improve the service.

Tool data

Many SiteTidy tools run entirely in your browser. Where a tool needs to inspect a remote website, DNS record, HTTP response, certificate or other network resource, the information you submit may be sent to the SiteTidy API so the requested check can be performed.

Do not submit passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, confidential customer information or other sensitive data to tools unless the tool explicitly states that processing is local to your browser and you are satisfied with how it works.

Uploaded files

Tools that state they run locally process files in your browser and do not intentionally upload those files to SiteTidy servers. A tool page will indicate when server-side processing is required.

Technical information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps and error information for security, reliability and abuse prevention.

Analytics and cookies

If analytics or optional cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before they are enabled. SiteTidy does not need an account for ordinary use of the free tools.

Third-party services

Some checks may depend on third-party network services or public data sources. Their own privacy practices may apply when a request must be made to them to complete a tool operation.

Data retention

We do not intentionally retain tool input longer than necessary to provide the requested operation, except where technical logging, security investigation or legal obligations require limited retention.
