Website Audit
Check a public URL against practical SEO, security-header, social metadata, icon and performance best practices.
What does this audit check?
The SiteTidy audit fetches the final public HTML response and performs lightweight static analysis of the page markup and response headers. It currently evaluates:
- Identity & Icons: Explicit favicon links and whether a web app manifest is linked.
- Search (SEO): Title tags, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, robots meta directives, H1 usage and image alt attributes.
- Security: Final HTTPS usage, effective HSTS, Content Security Policy presence and clickjacking protection.
- Social: Core Open Graph metadata and X/Twitter Card metadata.
- Performance: End-to-end page and redirect-chain fetch time as observed by the SiteTidy audit service.
Scope: This is a static diagnostic, not a browser-based Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals test or a full security scan. It does not execute the target site's JavaScript and its score is intended as a practical checklist indicator rather than a search-engine ranking score.
